About Us - Ottawa

The Ottawa office of the Starlight Children's Foundation was established in July of 2006 upon a solid foundation of 10 years of volunteerism. Over the past fifteen years we have granted over 210 wishes, delivered 9,640 Hospital Happenings kits, hosted over 80 Great Escapes, placed 32 Fun Centres and built 2 Starlight Sites in the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. We offer a variety of Hospital Happening & Great Escapes programs throughout Eastern Ontario. Our Fun Centres have been placed at CHEO, Roger's House, Pembroke Regional Hospital , Kingston General and Quinte Hospitals.

The Starlight Children's Foundation of Ottawa touches the lives of thousands of seriously ill children and their families every year.

Ottawa Senators 50/50 Ticket Volunteers

This is a great, laid back and fun way to raise funds AND catch a free Ottawa Senators game while you're at it!  You must be 16 years of age or older to be considered for this opportunity and you must attend an evening training session prior to the games.  We are looking for volunteers to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at Ottawa Sen’s games. Proceeds raised will go directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation. You can participate as an individual or this could also be a fun evening out for you and friends! Cinnamon Toast New Media Holiday Campaign

Starlight Annual Holiday Toy Drive

With the days getting shorter and a chill in the air, we at the Starlight Children's Foundation are hard at work getting ready for the Holidays.  The holiday season can be an especially stressful time of year for families with a seriously ill or hospitalized child. The Starlight Annual Holiday Toy Drive brings new, unwrapped toys to seriously ill children who are in the hospital during the holidays or whose families are affected financially during these difficult times.

The Polar Express

On Saturday November 26th our Starlight Ottawa Families will climb aboard The Polar Express for our 2011 Holiday Party! We will visit a local tree farm for some Holiday fun and games and will be joined by a special festive guest or two!
